CBR YouthConnect is pleased to announce that we are now a TRICARE approved provider and contracted with TriWest as an “In-Network” Provider.
What is TRICARE? TRICARE was created in the early 1990s and is the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) health care entitlement for active duty, Guard and Reserve and retired members of the military, and their eligible family members and survivors. TRICARE is not an insurance plan, but rather a health care entitlement earned by our nation’s military members for their service to this country.
What is TriWest? TriWest Healthcare Alliance is a privately held corporation that contracts with the Department of Defense (DoD) to administer TRICARE in a 21-state “West Region.” There are also two other TRICARE regions in the United States, North Region and South Region. TriWest is not an insurance company either, but rather a contractor to the DoD that administers the TRICARE program.
Residential Treatment for youth is covered under the TRICARE system. Therefore, this is a great opportunity for any family with eligible youth and in need of residential psychiatric treatment services! These services may cover the client for up to 150 days per calendar year.
