I'm sorry for being absent so long
Posted February 5, 2009 by crossroads

Hi all..   boy how I have missed this place....  I have been so busy since last July I don't even know where to begin.  Lots of changes in my life, beginning with a separation in July after a 24 year marriage, to living the single life again (wow what fun that has been), I'm now taking care of the house and farm, my soon to be ex has moved to Florida, so I'm left with all the responsibility until the house sells. But it's ok.. I'm a big girl and can take care of it all myself.  I'm just glad to be free  lol.

I have missed all of you so much, I will try to get on here more often, but my free time is... well.....  taken up with the things singles do... lololol

I hope all of you have been safe and sound and happy...

Happy belated New Year to all of you, and happy belated birthday to those I have missed...

Send me an email with what you have been up to!  phobiaofwater@yahoo.com

love to all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Peace!

Pam

Linkin Park Concert
Posted July 29, 2008 by crossroads
I went to a concert Sunday night, the one I have been waiting for and sitting on my tickets for several months now... Linkin Park - Projekt Revolution. Several bands were there - Chris Cornell, The Bravery, Ashes Divine, Atreyu, 10 Years, Hawthorne Heights.... amazing!! It started at 2pm.. it poured rain and hail up until about 2:00, so my friend and I went and had lunch while it was raining, got there about 2:30 I guess, and the place was muddy and wet.. the first band had already started... I had no idea what to expect.. never been to this location before, haven't been to a concert since I was 17. I was worried I'd be one of the older in the crowed.. but I wasn't.. quite a few my age and some older.. The girl that went with me never listened to this kind of music, she's a country music kinda girl, but she was open to listening.. we sat on the lawn and listened to some of the bands.. I had a beer ($8.00) only had ONE!!!! I had to drive otherwise I probably would've had more.. good thing or I'd really be feeling bad today. Smile The headliners (The Bravery, Chris Cornell and Linkin Park) were playing in the pavillion, so we moved over there and got a sweet spot on the lawn, even though they still looked as tiny as ants on the stage, it was a clear view, and as it got darker you could see the big screen images so I could see pretty good. Linkin Park's opening was AMAZING!!! I've always liked this group, but man oh man I am a die hard fan now.. it was awesome... There were thousands of people at the concert, all singing in unison, all knowing every word.. (me right along with them).. my voice is hoarse now. I had an ephiphany while I was standing there dancing, hands in the air, singing at the top of my lungs. I had really started listening to this band about 4 years ago.. right around the same time I started having problems with my marriage. Thier songs are full of powerful messages, about being strong and independent and doing what is right for you... perhaps these songs gave me some of the strength I needed to do what I had to do... can music make that much of an impact on someone without really even thinking about it? possibly... All I know is as I was enjoying the music that night I had the biggest smile on my face and felt totally free and uninhibited (no.. I did not take off my shirt!!!) lololololol... but I wasn't nervous of the crowds or anything.. a mosh pit started up right next to us.. got a little bit out of hand, but it was just so fun to see people having so much fun.. I can tell you I did not feel 44 last night thats for sure! why haven't I gone to more concerts?? I will now for sure! link to website incase you don't know what the music is like.. http://linkinpark.com/projektrevolution
