Joined New Zealand Army and served in Malaya, have worked as a shepherd, carpenter, racing cars and motorbikes, rodeo rider, and heavy construction and minining. Married in 1967 to Diane and she cant get rid of me lol, 2 daughters and 10 grandchildren.
Lived for many years in Australia now back in New Zealand and retired. Have also worked in Japan.
Keeps busy bringing up 3 grandchildren and is heavily involved in the Brass Band Movement and the RSA.

I have never understood why anyone would sign up on a social network, sit around and then wonder why its not working or why the site is boring. The success of any online social network community depends solely on YOU. That means the next time you hear one of your friends complaining that they don't like another site they belong to, or anyone has a family member or friend deployed, or someone needing some support in any way... or that it's so hard to make friends, that's the perfect opportunity for you to invite them on MILPLACE. Things like forums, chat with other members who are online with you, blogs, photo galleries, game arcades and even create your own Group(s) within the community. You can designate it by any topic of interest, hobby, military base, branch of service, unit, moms at your base, spouses who used to be active duty, whatever you want! The point is get involved, share and enjoy MILPLACE!

Hey everyone....Over the last couple of days i have banned and deleted 53 spammers from milplace...thats not counting the 30 plus i deleted last week.
