I love photography and have since I was a kid.

I do a lot of digital scrapbooking.

I am an avid reader- If you know of a good military book about WW2 please let me know. I am also interested right now in finding more about WW1.

I really am not a big movie or T.V. fan. I would much rather open a good book. If I do watch a movie I usually choose a war movie or one containing history and true content. Recently I watched "Mississippi Burning". It was a very good movie.

I love oldies, Classic Rock, some Jazz and Blues. I also listen quite a bit to Country Music.

Almost every book I read pertains to true content and history. I usually am reading a new book on the Civil War. Currently I am ready about a book on WW2 on the Italian front. My Uncle fought in Africa and Italy so I thought I would try to read a little about it.

My biggiest interests lie in American Military History. I have done research mostly on the American Civil War as it happens to be the most interesting to me so far. I do read other war books though and currently have been digging into WW2. I am also a geneaology nut. I love learning about my ancestors after twelve years I still find them amazing.

Materialistic people-they drive me nuts.
Liars and cheaters.
People who try to be something they are not.

I am a single parent of four wonderful children who I have raised by myself for the last fifteen years by choice. I have two grown daughters ages 20 and 22. I have two younger sons, ages 16 and 7. I am also a proud grandma of a two yr old little boy that happens to be my heart with another grandson on the way due to be here in early November.

I am intelligent and very honest with a great sense of humor. Unfortunately, I am also very shy at first and sometimes this seems to people that I am stand-offish but I truly am not.

I live in Michigan but my heart belongs to the hills of Kentucky where my parents were born. I try to go there any time I can finance it to go grave yard tromping to take photo's of headstones of my ancestors. I try hard to get the one's that have Military Headstones from the Wars before they are gone.
