ABOUT ME
Joined the Army in 1976, two weeks after I graduated from high school. I was able to retire in 1994 after 18 years with full benefits due to the downsizing of the mid-90's. Thank you President Clinton! I retired as a Staff Sergeant so please don't address me as Ma'am. I worked for a living and never backed up to the pay line. You old soldiers know what that means. After a very long battle with the VA I am finally 100% disabled Veteran, permanent and total. I also draw SSDI. If you don't know what that means or if you need assistance with a claim, I have some websites for you to go to.

First up is my blog: Ramblings of One Weary Soldier at http://www.onewearysoldier.blogspot.com.
Next VA Watchdog dot Org. Check us out at http://www.vawatchdog.org. We're very proud of the work that we are doing there.

I work from home and I'm online roughly 12-14 hours a day. Due to the PTSD I rarely leave the house. I'm working on that. I have two service dogs I trained with the help of Service Dogs of Florida, Inc (Google them -- they're a great school -- founded by an Air Force Veteran). Some day I hope to be able to leave the house again without having a panic attack. It will happen. I'm clicking my ruby heels three times.

Looking forward to making new friends.

Thanks for the info. I'll keep that in mind. As you can see, I don't get around this website much, but I do regularly check the messages and comments that are left for me. Enjoy what's left of the weekend. Wendi

We'll be celebrating with my niece and nephew. It's a family tradition. Happy It's the only thing about the holidays that I look forward to. What about you?
