ABOUT ME
♫ I'm a married 25 year old simple, sophisticated, and down to earth trouble-maker. I'm a little singing songstress and love to sing in my car even though I can't carry a tune for the life of me. I hardly ever answer my phone and I'm notorious for never returning phone calls but I'm working on it. Really, I am. I believe that people deserve second chances. I easily trust people until they do me wrong. I will probably correct your grammar if you speak incorrectly around me and I know it must be annoying. I enjoy listening to the way people laugh and making them laugh. I love to have the people I love around me. My family is very important to me. I am very lucky to have the family I do because they encourage me and stand by my side no matter what spontaneous acts of craziness I pull. They still love me. For some reason, I'm a sniffer, I have to smell things before I taste them. I like to compare the way some food and drink tastes to other weird tastes that many people probably haven't tasted before (ex: this water tastes like I'm licking a faucet!). I am told I have OCD and ADD. I am a perfectionist and easily distracted. Simple things make me laugh. I get really excited when I look at the sky and it's about to rain really hard. I love being outdoors. I love to camp and hike. I love nature. I am shy at times when around a lot of people I don't know. When I am around family, I am super outgoing. I love animals, if I could, I would save all the animals of the world. I am back in school, finally after procrastinating for the last 4 years. We just moved here to Fort Bragg North Carolina and it's a big change from Texas. I have been married to my husband for 5 years now, still no children, and he is the love of my life. I do miss home, family, and friends, but I know my husband is doing a great job in the military. I have a lot of little quirks, but that's what makes me "ME!" Thanks for reading these boring facts about me. ♫Miss Leandra♫
I have never understood why anyone would sign up on a social network, sit around and then wonder why its not working or why the site is boring. The success of any online social network community depends solely on YOU. That means the next time you hear one of your friends complaining that they don't like another site they belong to, or anyone has a family member or friend deployed, or someone needing some support in any way... or that it's so hard to make friends, that's the perfect opportunity for you to invite them on MILPLACE. Use the Invite Tab on the top navigation bar to invite your friends and help spread the word about the resources we have available.
Get busy connecting!
Yes that's what we do here. No fun if you sign up and never come back or do anything. Explore all that the site has to offer you. Or what you have to offer the site!! Things like forums, chat with other members who are online with you, blogs, photo galleries, game arcades and even create your own Group(s) within the community. You can designate it by any topic of interest, hobby, military base, branch of service, unit, moms at your base, spouses who used to be active duty, whatever you want! The point is get involved, share and enjoy MILPLACE!
Hi how are things going with you? Just a quick reminder that we have a special group on here called MilPlace Angels and we have quite a few soldiers that are needing letters or packages. If you know of any soldiers who would love to receive mail from our Angels, please let us know. The addresses of course are in a closed group.
